Ten boroughs of Rotterdam will each be coupled with one of Rotterdam’s twin towns or partner cities. Young people from each twin town or partner city will come and work together with eight young people in the borough.
On the basis of art, culture, lifestyle, ideology and encounter, these groups will draw their own backgrounds while working collectively on the theme of Liberationfestival 2009: Freedom and Identity. This may compromise of an art project, a musical mix, a debate or lecture given or moderated by a young professional in the field. The results of this process will be presented on May 5th during the Liberationfestival .
